VISIT TO DISTRICT 12...
I'll get back to the art posts soon, but I thought some of you might enjoy this... I recently got back from a little vacation... North Carolina, St. Augustine, Fla, and Orlando/ Universal Adventure Island. While visiting my cousins in NC I realized they lived only 10 minutes away from the abandoned town which was the site of District 12 in the filming of the Hunger Games. It was pretty surreal to see this ghost of a town still standing in-tact (although pretty run-down) with no residents. I just finished the 1st book and saw the movie only a few weeks ago, so I enjoyed walking through the town while the shots of the movie were still fresh in my head. Here are some of the pics, enjoy...
